Christu jyothi Institute of Technology and science ( CJITS ) was established in the year 1998, under Chairmanship of Most Rev.Thumma Bala D.D , Apostolic Administrator of Diocese of Warangal and President & General Manager of CJITS . The institution is owned and managed by Warangal Diocesan Society based at FathimaNagar, Warangal 506004. It is a self financing Catholic Christain Minority institution, a premier technical institute run by Catholic Mission in A.P. The society is running a Degree and P.G college, Fathima College of Education,  Junior college,  few high schools and several social and charitable institutions.

                                                                          Fr. Augusto Colombo (1927-2009)

 
Born on March 15, 1927, in Cantù, in the northern Italian province of Como, Fr. Colombo entered the PIME seminary of Monza as a student in 1944. He was ordained a priest on June 25, 1950, and in January of 1952 left for India.

He was instrumental in building christu jyoti institute of Technology & Science, Colombonagar , Yeshwanthapur, Jangaon, Warangal  which is serving more than 1700 rural engineering students to acquire the required skills.

College is ever grateful to him for his vision with a mission.
