Founders
During His Lordship's pastoral visits in 1996, the catholics in Warangal Diocesan parishes requested him to look into the possibility of starting an Engineering college, which would be of great service to the catholic community in rural areas. It was thought to be a wonderful suggestion and with in two years the Warangal Diocese was able to come up to the expectation of the people with a special reference to the catholic community. The policy has been to keep and run the institution as 'service, principle and value based' institution catering to the needs of the catholic students as much as possible subject to the rules and regulations of the AICTE and Andhra Pradesh State Govt.
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and AP State Govt. have granted permission to start Christu Jyoti Institute of Technology & Science (CJITS) for the academic year 1998-99. AP State Govt. has also granted permission to start and run this institute as a minority institute temporarily at Karunapuram about 12 kms along the main road to Hyderabad from Warangal.
Present Position: At present college is blessed with 1345 engineering students, 88 faculty, 48 supporting staff, and 12 domestic staff. More than 170 students have been placed in 45 prestigious MNCs.

Narayana Reddy for their valuable services, hard work, travels, documentation and meeting the concerned authorities/leaders, etc. Our special thanks and appreciation would go to Fr. Y. Joji Reddy, the Convener, for his hard work, initiatives, duty minded and for co-coordinating well the committees and the work itself.
